This is a classic case of WHO grade I schwannoma in filum terminale with focal cystic change adnd rare large cells suspicious for entrapped ganglion cells of posterior root ganglia. The single mitotic figure is not contradictary to this diagnosis. I do not believe the number of possible ganglion cells is high enough to suspect a ganglioneuroma.
