I am not a breast pathologist. But, I agree with Dr. Shen that this is very worrisome for DCIS. I am interested in what the surgeons in China will do if you call this ADH on frozen? What if you call DCIS? Will they do it differently? Please educate me!
I am practicing in a busy hospital in US with a lot of frozens. When I am on frozen call for the day, I can do as many as 100 frozens. I rarely get breast fozens and most of the breast related frozens are sentinal lymph nodes, even that is very much debatable in the US (some people think that we should not do those frozens anyway).

There is confluent proliferation of epithelial cells, although the cytologic features cannot be evaluated clearly on frozen section, I would be most worry about DCIS. Hope some breast pathology expert can comment on this frozen case. Thanks. |
