Usually basal cells have pale or clear cytoplasm, while epithelial cells have pink cytoplasm. Whenever you have a prostate, try to appreciate features of epithelial cells and basal cells. After a while, you probably will reduce the cases for immunostains. Another point; whenever you see many cell layers and complex glands as seen in this case, probably it is not cancer.
