Gleason 3+3. By comparing with adjacent normal glands, if there is nuclear enlargement and prominent nucleoli, a definitive diagnosis may be made. Immunostains for basal cells will be helpful in this situation. The specimen appears to be transurethral resection of prostate. For a 76 year old man with small focus of well differentiated prostate cancer, he may not need any additional treatment. |
