This is a malignant germ cell tumor and not myxopapillary ependymoma. The neoplastic cells are either nested with large nuclei and vacuolated cytoplasm, or columnar lining tubular spaces. Features do not support embryonal carcinoma or pure dysgerminoma. Yolk sac tumor and rarer types of malignant germ cell tumor need to be ruled out by thorough microscopic examination. A metastatic origin cannot be excluded, either.
