前四副图显示宫颈腺上皮细胞，后六幅图显示风干的细胞，不适于判读。
是这样翻译的吗？可我无法理解后六幅图怎么就不适于判读呢，那又是什么原因造成的风干呢？我们好像是离心后马上就固定的啊。
Air drying may come from clinicians when they collect specimens. Air drying cells show nuclear smear without any chromating details. If you blow up the last several photos, you will see no chromatin granules and no distinct nuclear membrane. Air drying usually makes nuclei much larger than well preserved cells. Air drying is very common in conventional smears but can occur in liquid based prep too.
We need at least 5000 well preserved squamous cells to call a liquid based pap smear satisfactory for evaluation, that converts to about 5 cells/high power field in my scope (22FN). Conventional smears need >8000 cells (i think) to be satisfactory. Cells obscured by inflammtion and artifacts don't count. In patients status post hysterectomy, the criteria is not as stingent.

12 photos may represent 5 focal area in low and high power. I think the number of the cellls may be enough for evaluation if above photos represent entire smear. Agree with Dr. Mingfuyu that there may have somewhat artifact in last few photos. However I am ok to call this case as asc-us due to some clusters of cells with increased n/c ratio and ask the pt to have HR HPV tested. If we call the pap is inadequate, the pt will have a repeat Pap. I would choose the first option. Remember asc-us is a uncertained diangosis.
