I would call this CIN 2 without doubt. There is CIN 1 in the photos, but i report the worst. Dr. Yang Bing's explanation is complete and consistent with our practice. I am surprised that many pathology departments in China don't use ink for margins. It is not a big deal for LEEP specimens, because LEEP specimens always have cauterized margins which can be accurately assessed microscopically. I totally don't understand how you assess the adventitial margins for esophagus, stomach and other organs. When i visited China last year, i brought many bottons of ink with different colors, but didn't give them away because it seems that pathologists i spoke to didn't really conern about the margin issue.
Have mercy please! Hysterectory in this 38 years old lady is an absolute over treatment! We don't see patients' face every day, but we still should be our patients' advocates. They and their specimens give us jobs!
