High grade squamous intreepithelial lesion (HSIL, Severe dysplasia, CIN 3)? In tissue sections or in pap smears?
In cervical biopsies, you look for dysplastic cells involving the entire thickness of the epithelium. Dysplastic cells have dark and large nuclei, to put it in a simple way, with coarse chromatin, irregular nuclear membran and scant cytoplasm. The cells are disorganized and oriented in every other way with overlapping. Don't you have a basic surgical pathology or GYN pathology book? Most pathology books should have it.
