Schwannoma is indeed the top differential diagnosis.
This tumor consists of alternative hypocellular and hypercellular areas. The tumor cells have bland spindle nuclei with frequent palisading arrangement.In addition, there are abundant thick collagen bands.
However, there is a lack of typical hyalinized thick-wall vessels in this lesion, which is ususally seen in schwannoma.
By immunostaining, the tumor cells are negative for S100, but are positive for CD34 and SMA.
What's your diagnosis?
