The diffuse infiltration with relative homogenous lymphoid population and lack of geminal center make the "chronic follicular cervicitis" less likely. Although lymphoma is vanishingly rare in cervix, I am concern of this case and should further investigate to rule out lymphoma. I suggest to have immunostains with CD20, kappa and lambda to see if this is mainly the B cell population with restricted immunoglobin light chain expression. Since the section is thick with mainly small blue cells, we should be careful for not missing a small cell carcinoma. Synaptophycin and chromagranin will be helpful to rule it out.
