I would agree that the photos appear to be that of a traumatic neuroma. Though each nerve fascicle is still with a perineurial sheath, the diameter varies greatly and the content of each fascicle is entirely disorganized from normal nerves. The only differential diagnosis for this case would be neurofibroma, which is unlikely from Figure 6.
