"Common things first" is the rule in differential diagnoses. The most common esophageal cancer in China is SCC, in contrast to adenocarcinoma commonly seen in US and other western countries. My master degree was study on esophageal carcinoma. As I recall, in about two weeks in Lin County, I got more than 40 cases of resected esophageal squamous cell carcinoma for my studies then. But it is very rarrely seen esophageal SCC in US now.

首先考虑低分化鳞癌。如果你考虑其他肿瘤，那么需要免疫组化的证据支持。
首先考虑常见病是我们鉴别诊断的一个原则。在中国最常见的食道肿瘤就是鳞癌，与此相反在美国和其他西方国家最常见的是腺癌。我的硕士课题是关于食管癌的研究。我记得我在林县做研究的时候，大约两周的时间我就可以搞到40多例食管鳞癌切除的病例。但是现在在美国却很少见到食管鳞癌。
