Dr. Wy1992: How many sections did you have? Did you take more sections? How did you or dept sign out the case finally?
I read the photos again today. It is a difficult case. Suppose that no more serious lesion. Some people will diagnose this case as clear cell carcinoma with tubu-cystic growth pattern within the loose stroma. Some people will diagnose as clear cell bordline tumor.
Clear cell tumor.
Focal glandular crowding, at least borderline tumor. Should have more sections to see if carcinoma is present.
No good criteria for clear cell borderlin tumor. Many people think benign clear cell tumors are not exist. Whatever one thing is true that ovarian benign clear cell tumor is rare, bordeline clear cell tumor is very few. Most ovarian clear cell tumors are malignant. I did a study to review about 500 ovarian clear cell tumors (AFIP cases). Only 4 cases were diagnosed as benign clear cell tumors by four gynecologic pathologists including Dr. Kurman.
Wy1992, you always has some good cases. Thanks.
Are you sure that the patient is a man. You can publish a case report if it is true.
