Frozen diagnosis?
Differential diagnosis?
Where might be the primary site?
What other site would you consider if the patient is a woman?

The frozen diagnosis is: Metastatic carcinoma with micropapillary features
Then we can speculate where the primary might be (as a pathologist) before we ask the surgeon history and clinical findings. This is a very effective way of communicating with surgeons.
Where might be the primary in a men?
Answer will be here in one week.

Thanks for the discussion so far. I hope that the basic frozen diagnosis will not any problem. How would you report the diagnosis and communicate with surgical team regarding the differential diagnoses? How much you can say about your diagnosis with confidence?
1. Malignant neoplasm - carcinoma or malignant mesothelioma
2. Metastatic carcinoma
3. Metastatic carcinoma with micropapillary features
4. Metastatic carcinoma, consider primary pancreatic, GI tract, bladder, lung
5. If this is from a woman, what else would you consider in the differential?
